What do I need?
The beauty of doing endurance is that there aren't a lot of qualifications to get started. If you're a horse person, you likely already have everything you need. Here are the basic requirements that you will need. Click on the links for more information:
In addition to the above, certain tack, clothing, and supplies will make your endurance adventure easier. However, none of it is actually required - as long as your horse (and, preferably, you) can make it down the trail comfortably, you're set.
Don't I need a crew?
You might have noticed that "A Crew" was not listed as one of the necessary items. Instead, there was just "A rider". Why? Because that's all you really need! Granted, it's always nice to have someone take care of your horse and let you rest for a moment, but only a lucky few of us have that privilege. Rather, most riders attend rides on their own or with fellow riders and all take care of their horses themselves.

- A horse - even of you don't have one, you may be able to borrow one
- A mentor - there are plenty of ways to learn about endurance, but a good mentor is a must
- A plan - preparation (both mental and physical) is key to endurance, including setting your goals and figuring out how you will achieve them
